Coca-Cola Amatil New Zealand (Amatil NZ) is pleased to announce the appointment of Liz O’Neil into the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) replacing Steven Paddis who has moved over to Amatil in Australia.
Liz joins Amatil NZ after seven years with diary giant Fonterra, having spent the last three years overseeing the company’s financial operations in Beijing, China. In addition to her experience in FMCG, Liz has held several senior leadership roles at communications giant Spark NZ.
Chris Litchfield, Managing Director at Amatil NZ & Fiji, says Liz will be a welcome addition to the Executive Team.
“Liz brings with her a great amount of experience in financial operations across various organisations and, with her extensive board experience, will provide our business with a high calibre skillset that is hard to match,” says Litchfield.

Beyond her corporate roles, Liz has been a board member of the SpringBoard Trust for more than six years, a unique charitable trust assisting principals to enhance their strategic leadership ability. She is also a mentor with the Womens Mentoring Programme at the University of Auckland and the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Locally, Coca-Cola Amatil employs more than 1,000 people and has four production facilities across Auckland, Putaruru and Christchurch, along with 13 bottling lines and three warehouses. In 2017 Amatil NZ received the Aon Hewitt Best Employer accreditation for the second year running, this is only awarded to businesses that provide exceptional and positive workplace experiences and have high engagement. Amatil NZ also won The Rainbow Tick two years in a row for its Diversity and Inclusivity credentials.
